Consultancy in this area is targeted at professional associations or organisations which publish their own trade or member magazine, along with websites and associated materials. This audit is similar in approach to the magazine brand analysis outlined above, but with a shift in emphasis towards methodology, resources and production processes, in order to improve publications produced by bodies for whom publishing is not a primary function. This analysis is very hands-on, with the intention of leaving the organisation with a fuller understanding of the publication process across magazines/web/Ezines and more, and with tools and methodologies in place to sustain a better quality of communication with their membership on an on-going basis.
