Mark runs the only bespoke training programme aimed at educating and empowering anyone involved in producing materials for print by introducing them to the print production process and viewing their role in the overall context of the production process.

Programme

This course gives an overview of the processes involved in the production of any publication (newsletter, report, magazine, book or newspaper), and is equally relevant for anyone producing advertising or marketing collateral. The course informs participants on the roles that they play in the production process, and explains how every element involved in the creation and production of printed materials impacts on the ultimate production of the finished product. The training is practical and interactive, and is intended to get all participants interested and involved in the production process. There is no technical jargon, all elements of the training are approached from a common sense, practical perspective, and lots of real examples are used throughout.

The emphasis is on providing an understanding of the printing processes, to improve decision-making and communication within publishing companies, and to enhance overall production quality. The morning is training-room based as we go through the course as outlined below; then after lunch there is a visit to a Dublin-based printer to see the concepts we have been discussing in a real working environment.
